The Biggest
Wish is a story about 23 years old Zoran Loshich, Serbian refugee
from Knin, Croatia, who has been in wheelchair since he was 6 years
old. He was wounded from the back by 75 years old retired army
officer, who was disgruntled by kids playing soccer under his window.
That "gentleman" was released after 2 years in prison by the help
of his brother, general in Belgrade, and Zoran is stuck in his wheelchair
for the rest of his life. Zoran loves trains and carousals; film starts
with him on the train station and ends with him on the carousel. Directly
before his ride on the carousel, he declares his biggest wish: to be able
to walk like every other normal person and to stand on his own legs.
Film also deals with the war and the exodus of the 450.000 Croatian
Serbs in 1995 after the “operation storm” by the Croatian Army.
